In-Depth Guide to Assessing ISO 55000 Compliance, Gaps, and Requirements

 

Introduction:

ISO 55000 is a very complex, but necessary, standard for asset management. Participants will gain a deep understanding for methodology behind it, the ins and outs of navigating the complex requirements, as well as various dos and don’ts when executing compliant management. This knowledge is essential for business leaders to gain an in-depth understanding of such a complex matter.

Objective:

At the end of the course participants will:

  • Recognize what to look for in a management system for assets compliant with the ISO 55001 specification;
  • Understand the practical implications of the requirements and their varied implementations and manifestations in different environments; and
  • Identify gaps and maturity levels of asset management compared with requirements of ISO 55001

Content:

The course explains the underlying concepts behind each of the ISO 55000 requirements, the scales of maturity that exist in each aspect (using the Institute of Asset Management model) and the symptoms of their achievement. It shares practical experiences in a wide range of industries, countries and cultures. There are sessions to enable detailed discussion and understanding of the planning, assessment and interpretation processes to the international standards and certification criteria.
